New Theme Launched: Shekel
This month LMD launched a brand new WordPress website Theme – Shekel – as part of our LMD Build and LMD Rebuild offerings.
We love cutting edge design, especially for the more sedate of businesses such as accounting and finance, as this can give these business types better public appeal to click and read on.

We wanted an airy feel for this theme, something lightweight especially if the content itself was, let’s say, hefty in nature. Floating content areas – where copy (the writing) and pictures can go – help to do this. They are essentially little pieces of encouraging information, or something pertinent to a business’ offering or goal, that allow a visitor to be informed quickly and to the point.

Parallax Pricing Tables
They say people take about 30 seconds to make up their minds about whether to continue considering a business, based on their website. A major factor is with price. So why not get it out there, and in style. Parallax does this by having the background appear to move behind the main element on a section of a page. A neat feature you should consider in your website.
Transparency and Overlays
A great way to make a bold statement or to signpost a visitor as to what a site section is about, is to subtly add a huge title with a little transparency and a coloured overlay over a key image.
Fully Responsive Design
Like all our themes, Shekel is fully responsive for mobile and tablet devices. This means the website will adapt to every device automatically, serving the content – those pictures and images – at their best.
In this theme, blocks of content start to stack, and the fancy arrow like styling naturally decreases in size as the device window decreases and vice versa. The pricing tables also stack rather than just squishing up which would ruin the effect and also the chances of a visitor properly engaging with the information.
